Default 2011 hard down shift. 3.5eco

My first time on the forum, so point me in the right direction if there’s a post on this already.
anyways, when I’m in 6th gear and I accelerate hard enough to go to 4th it’s like it lags then SLAMS into 4th. Doesn’t always do it, not sure to investigate fuel, air, or even the trans? 160k miles on her.

Check your fluid level and condition. Check for codes.

There was a free transmission recall/update (from last year) that concerned these transmissions downshifting harshly into 1st gear so if you haven't had that done; you would be wise to do it.........I found the whole transmission shifts a little different & smoothly since having it done in my other trucks.... Also @ 160,000 it also would be wise to change the fluid......My high mileage 2010 shifted harshly (especially in lower gears 1&2) & after changing the fluid it rectified the problem??
