Nice! Yea that quote was from bullydogs site. You have me scared now. I hope that it's the one ready to tune our truck and we don't have to wait till the 15th. The guy I talked to said its the new one and is ready to go. Hope he's right.

You guys should really be waiting as KEM is releasing one in December and it's going to be awesome. HP numbers may be similar but he knows how to program and get gains from all areas. He said the biggest gains he has noticed so far is from trans tuning. Best thing is he normally tunes without leaving a trace on the truck computer.

To the OP- I have installed the AFE intake and love it. I was going to get the dry filter but after speaking with AFE they said the best flowing filter is the PRO 5R oiled, so I got that one. I'd be happy with either though. Here's a pic.

Sweet! As soon as custom tuning is available I'll be one of the first to order. I'll have fun for a month with the bullydog !

If you think you are going to get a REAL 60-70rwhp gain from a cat back, cold air intake and canned tune, you are going to be very dissappointed...

I agree in the fact that the Ecoboost factory tuning is very conservative and the boost control is ridiculous, just as is the Drive by wire/torque management control.... There is room for huge gains in getting the boost level stabilized at redline and keeping the throttle body open 100% at WOT but its gonna take a GOOD tuner to get that stuff going... I dont see the mainstream stuff like BullyDog or Super Chips etc etc getting anywhere close to unlocking that power....

I will be curious to see what H&S comes up with....if anything.

But I would guess that if you dynoed before and after your bolt ons/canned tune, you will be lucky to gain 30 rwhp at peak....And that is optimistic...

Its all good man. Won't bother me one bit. Someone has to try it out to know for sure what it will do with just the bullydog. hehe

if it was n/a motor, i would expect 40hp (+/-) with these mods. however, when boost is introduced, it is a completely different ball game. i will bet you $50 via pp that he gaines at least 60 rwhp. heck, for the right price, i'll buy it myself. i'm no stranger to a dyno...i have a local dynojet on speed-dial. in fact, i dynoed my G8 several times and my truck has already been there too.

I tend to think that you are right. If Mike with 5 Star is getting 50+ rwhp with the 5.0 and the Boss package, I can see some good gains with the EB.

Ecoscrew, what kind of numbers did your truck put down on the dynojet?
