Only true dual valve catch can with the clean side seperator that eliminates 100% of gas water ect getting back to the oil to harm your motor by prematurely breaking down your oil. Check it out.

I think whatever issue mine is having is beyond a catch can fixing it. Before you traded it in you should have sold me all your aftermarket stuff haha.

Today is the final day for their floundering efforts to fix my truck. They have had it since Tuesday January 13th with no progress or answer other than NO from Ford. If we go CAMVAP and I win I hope all of you Canadians with the same issue immediately follow suit.
Sounds familiar.

I had dual catch cans on my 2012 and I was also draining a lot everyday. So much I added a reservior so I wouldn't have to drain it so frequently. It seemed to work for quite a while but eventually seemed to be overwhelmed. I also had a cold start knock that started @45k and was getting worse with time. I had already decided to trade the truck for something else so I removed the cans and a few other things pior to trading. While driving it stock for two or so weeks, I also experienced the fall on its face issue. After that little episode the truck also seemed to have less power, especially up hills. I do miss the low end torque it had when new but not sure I could jump into another one.

Update January 23rd 2015

I did receive a call back from a CSR supervisor today who seemed annoyed I would even question the front level CRS's info of engineering not allowing any diagnosis or repair. She told me the same thing over and over and to just wait for a fix.

Not suitable for me... The selling dealer offered to sell me a new comparable truck (2014 Lariat w/same options) but at the price they want that's not happening so I went ahead and filed the initial application for CAMVAP... Enough is enough. I will hear back in 5 business days.

Good luck, I seen a statistic someplace and it looked like most of the CAMVAP claims on the ecoboost were won. Atleast that is something positive.

And what will repair the chain rattle without replacing it?

[QUOTE=huntnrig;3939072]That makes my blood boil... Did they tell you how much the timing was actually out?

Here is what they said. Can you please help me understand it?

"Scan pcm - no codes. Monitored VCT PIDS and notice Bank 1 Exhaust VCT was out 19 degrees and Bank 2 Exhaust VCT was out 4 degrees for 3 seconds after start up. The intake VCT's were not out. Listened to where the rattle nosie was coming from and it is coming from Bank 1 and 2 VCT phaser area."

It sounds like you are at 4 degrees out on the one that matters for the TSB (they want to see at least 6).

How much warranty do you have left?

Even replacing the chain hasn't helped. However since mine was replaced in the video above they've come out with a different chain part number. What I find interesting is that your exhaust is so far out of time and yet the intake is ok? The exhaust cam is driven from the intake phaser so this would suggest your problem is the slave chain. This would be atypical because most problems have been with the main chain. Until you have a check engine light Ford will not repair the engine.

I have the new part number chain in my truck and it did nothing. Noise was back in a week. The dealer says "it fixed it for a week" but I believe the conditions just weren't right for the noise to happen as it happens all the time again now.

If something was out 19 degrees you'd think they would say "woah... problem here" and fix the damn thing...

What type of mechanism keeps the chain tensioned? Is it hydraulic force from oil pressure? Or is it a mechanical spring? All belts and chains stretch over time from use / wear. What probably matters most, is how the stretch is controlled / managed.
