Pretty much every time it sits over 12 hours and it's over 60 degrees...however this is my first summer with a catch can and it seems to be rattling less often. Last weekend drove 150 miles to the cabin and parked the truck for 48 hours and it didn't rattle when we started it to leave...and the oil had about 4000 miles on it. I was very surprised, I will keep monitoring if the catch can helps

I am taking my truck in this weekend for this problem. Does the TSB actually solve the problem?

So long as it's fully and correctly applied, it appears to be solving the problem. Or at least deferring it. Nobody has hit enough mileage to tell.

Not sure it it's permanently cured, let's just say its in remission!

Keep me posted on how it goes this weekend, 1968dave. How many miles does your truck have?

Rachel

Default UPR Catch can

So I have put about 1k and I have had one start at about 40 degrees with a rattle.

I installed a UPR catch can 2 weeks ago and check today for the first time, a little bit of oil but it had about a 1/4" of gas in the bottom of a small plastic solo cup?

Currently running Penn 5-30 platinum syn and changing to amsoil 5-40 tomorrow.

Sitting at 57k miles...

Hello and thank you Rachael. I have 64k miles on it. I have the premium esp for 75k. So I hope the esp will take care of it. I just hope the rattling noise actually happens at the dealer. The truck needs to sit for a good 9-10 hours. I will be taking it to Gus Machado Ford in Kendall, Florida. I will keep you posted. I appreciate it.

Drop it off and take the keys with you. Come back the next day and start it in front of the service manager
