2011 ecoboost noise on start up

Just picked my truck up from service. They replaced the timing chain and the tensioner(along with all necessary gaskets etc). First start in the lot, chain rattle… and it idles like a 72 Chevelle with a cam job. Even after warm up, it shakes at idle. It hesitates under throttle as well. Let's just say I'm not too happy.

Well here is my thought , the chain tensioner is driven off the OIL PRESSURE if your sump is clogged with contaminates and causing a low oil pressure condition off the start , which would cause the Chain Tensioner to move slowly. Just my Theory

That's a pretty good theory that makes more sense than most of what I hear. In the end after they figure out a fix for this how long till a person goes through the same thing in another 70 or so thousand kms? Soooo many terminal problems with this motor it is going to be bad for ford when they need to do major engine part replacements on almost every ecoboost on the road. Lots of guys aren't going to be driving a ford anymore they will just switch brands to dodge or gm. Sad. Wish this wasn't how it is. Ah well im hoping I don't have near the trouble with the 5.0 as I did with the ecoboost. If I do I'll be done with ford for a long time! Cmon ford if you wanna stay the champion of pickups you better start working on it a little harder!

Kwasi, I had the work done. Timing chain rattle is still there at cold start up. I also have hesitation and the truck shakes at idle. I went to the dealer this AM. Talked to the SM. Apparently when they started repairing the eco's for this problem, Ford had them replace ALL chains, guides, tensioner etc. Once the TSB came out, they changed that to replace only the primary chain and a few other parts. He hooked his laptop up to my truck and there was a code for crankshaft out of time. It goes back in on Monday morning to be torn open again. He thinks that either the mechanic put it back together out of time, or there is damage beyond the primary chain. I'll keep you all up to date next week.

Man... This sucks. The service manager at my selling dealer is back Monday and they want to pick up the truck next week. They committed to doing the TSB but with my truck making the noise as bad and frequent as it does I want them to replace all the chains, the tensioner etc... I also want the pan dropped and inspected. I'm pulling some oil on my own for my UOA.
If the chain is worn, its likely all the sprockets/gearing it runs through are worn also.
I would want a good look taken at those also.
