I just talked to my SA. She advised me that they have ordered all parts to do the timing chain replacement. No stress no hassles. I'm impressed. I was ready for a fight. I'm almost speechless!!!!! In the mean time, I'll keep driving the '14 Lariat Eco they gave me for a rental!

Nope, they either got the parts In today or they are coming in tomorrow. I can't remember exactly what she said. I was just happy they are fixing it.

Just picked mine up from north side ford in San Antonio,tx Michael the service manager told me the noise is normal on the Eco boost.he said it will not harm the engine.sounds like metal clanking around every morning and after it sits at work. I told him about the tsb and he said that is for a check engine light . They will not tell me what the noise is just that it is naormal.it never made this noise until around 45 k miles. I have 59500 know and warranty is about up.what can I do? It's getting worse but no light.it will probably come on after warranty is over.thanks ford.

Mine has had all the fixes except a new engine and the problem is still here. I'm done worrying and wondering and getting nowhere with MY situation so I have an appointment after work to go sign life away on another fx4 just a 5.0. No Eco for me. I really wanted to believe in it but it just isn't going to happen. So while I can I took advantage of the amazing rebates I've been offered to trade it in on a 14'. They did what they could to make it up to me for my 2011 Eco problems. If all goes as planned I should have a few pics of the new one tonight I'll post to show you guys. As for the rest of you guys with the prob, good luck and keep up with the persistence and hope they find a fix.

Hey guys- So I dont have the time to read all 600+ posts as I am at work but my '11 ecoboost has 69000 miles on it and the same rattle started roughly 5k miles ago. Of course, it was after my warrenty. Am I screwed? Does anyone have a direction to point me? I also noticed this week that when merging on to an expressway, it downshifts to 3rd gear and hesitates terribly and the only way to remedy is to let off the gas and let the engine and tranny catch up. Do you think Ford will cover any of this or will it be out of pocket? HELP!!!!
