Had this happen with one of the tuners that's sometimes recommended on here...

Assume you are stock. May be worth checking turbo intake connections?

When were you last at the dealer for this, cyberdude47? Please fill me in with some details, including current mileage on your truck. I'm happy to research any available options.

Mine started doing something similar, but at light throttle, you can hear the blowoff valve releasing, its fine at 1/2 throttle and above, I think the blow off valve is the culprit, another member posted he found a tear in his.

Zd-12, the truck is stock. I don't want to tune it as I don't want to risk warranty refusal. I'm inly using the gauges.

Mur. I keep telling dealer to look at the BOV's as I feel they may be a factor in this. I told them that the hissing from them seems louder and truck falls in its face when the open and plus the boost gauge bounces.

Brittany the truck has 80k kms in it. This started at 55k. And i have a third party warranty through old republic gold package. What else do u want to know

Brittany also I was at dealer last on Monday. Spent entire day there and came out with a $500 bill just to change spark plugs. Going back in next week and they said they will deduct some charges as it's not resolved

Thanks for filling me in with an update; I'm glad to hear that the dealer is working with you to get this resolved. What's the mileage on your truck? I'm happy to research additional options.

I had this happen on my '11 Eco. It wouldn't throw a code and when the dealer looked at it they couldn't find the problem - no code = no problem. Finally, on I70 in the middle of the Colorado high plains it threw a code and went into limp mode. Mind you I had struggled with the surging while towing my travel trailer over 1,000 miles. A dealer in Denver diagnosed it. It was a defective harness in a boost control module. It was under voltage. The specs was 5 volts and the harness was only sending 1.8 volts. They changed the harness and the problem was solved. This is very likely the problem with yours. Remember, the computer will simply not set a code until it damn near just won't run. Have them check it out.

Good luck!

X2 on bad wiring can be a real dinger. All it take is one bad crimp of a pin. UR's doesn't sound like the CAC is full of Condensate. Corrosion will set in at a bad wiring connection easily.
