This fix should be trademarked, productized, and sold as a kit with easy to read instructions. Just sayin.

Maybe it's mostly happening under pressure while I drive? Any help would be much appreciated. I just want to make sure this is the only leak before I get my hands dirty.
I orderd a elbow hose from dealer for 75$(Canadian). But it didn't work,it was keep leaking, Dealer offered me to change the reservoir tank for 400$. I didn't want to pay $$$ bucks for a plastic bottle,so decided to try Pegasus kit. Job was done yesterday, not a single leak so far. Thanks to AMP77 and all you guys.

Hi all - I went to the dealer and they replaced my reservoir. They stated the hose to the reservoir and the reservoir itself would both need to be replaced to stop the leak. This was covered under my warranty. Once my engine and transmission warranty expire, I will replace the hose that connects to the reservoir with the fix mentioned above. The warranty I had for reference was the standard CPO.

Add me to the list of 5.0L owners with this leaking issue. I just went ahead and bought both upper and lower radiator hoses. I will replace those but the O-ring ideas are pretty good, probably going to bookmark that so if i have this issue again i will just do the O-rings. At 130k miles, I figure changing the coolant is probably a good idea anyway.

It does seem that cold is a catalyst for this, but mine has def been leaking for a while and it seems that it only happens while the truck is running, as I only just noticed a spot below the truck recently.

I held off on buying the reservoir, i will probably permatex the seal between that and see if it leaks.

Re - Cold is a catalyst for this: My truck was always in Florida up until I left last week.

Hey guys new here and have been searching for a bit on the forums for my coolant leak. It seems on this thread that most have a issue with the leak at the y-connector, expansion tank or Water Pump. In my case I have no visible signs of leaking in any of these areas. I do however have a pretty good leak coming from the back of the engine. Does anybody know if there are any coolant lines running underneath the Intake Manifold that I may be missing? Also I'm starting to see misfire codes showing up which leads me to think the leak is coming from there. Before tearing down I wanted to see if anybody has had that off and saw coolant hoses. Thanks in advance. I'm new to this forum and any help or pointing to the correct thread would be great. Oh also this is for 2011 5.0

Before tearing it down I would run some dye through the coolant system. That's how I found my Y connector leak. It should be drained, flushed and refilled once you find or dont find the leak though.

The thing is everything is bone dry when the leak occurs. Seems to be pouring out the back down to the rear exhaust manifold back by the transmission housing.

I would look up the coolant system schematics. The heater core is in the back, hoses run to it, but those are off to one side. The fluid might be traveling along outside of hoses and dropping in a different location.

I would also start a separate thread for this and see if others can help
