The dealership told me today to come back Monday. For me, it ticks worse when warm. It is at its loudest at around 1500 rpms but I'm sure it would be worse if I still had my stock exhaust.

I got the truck to make the noise with the service advisor right there and he told me to bring it back first thing Wednesday and he said they would figure it out. He simply wondered if it was normal. We shall see now.

Seems like everyone on here gets told it's "normal". How could that sound be normal.

It was really bad this morning so I dropped my truck off and left it around 7 am. Haven't heard anything yet from the dealership.

Dealer told me they could not replicate the noise. Was told by a very knowledgeable member on here though that it sounds like I need the timing chain tensioner tsb done. Unfortunately however, it's looking more and more like I may trade it in. I have also heard other members not to worry about it and they have far more miles on their truck than I do.

I am not worrying about mine too much anymore, seems to have plenty of power still so I will just run it till it's dead or I want another.
