13e03
Well surprise, surprise. I've wondering why my truck eats gas at 70mph like a fat dude at an all you can buffet while my neighbors fx4 get's 20mpg going 75. I'm lucky to get 15 mpg on flat ground at 70. I drive like a grandma too. I logged onto https://support.ford.com/tools/account/home to check out the vehicle health report for my flex & saw a recall for my truck listed 13E03. Now this is a surprise since I haven't had a call or an email or anything. Additionally it's nice to know why I have soot all over my chrome exhaust tip right after washing my truck. Tried to schedule a service online (I hate waiting & I am in the middle of a huge project at work taking my 13 hours a day M-F) but got told there was an error & to call. I called my dealer just to be told bring it in & wait. Well that's not very convenient. I don't buy a truck that stickers for over 43,615 to have to bring it back for the second time in 6 months. The first time was when the sync microphone failed. I'm also not thrilled with not being able to schedule an appointment. Real nice customer service there. No letter, no call, & no way to schedule....

Certain 2013 Model Year F-150 Vehicles Equipped with a 3.5L GTDI Engine
Reprogram the Powertrain Control Module
AFFECTED VEHICLES
Certain 2013 model year F-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.5L GTDI engine built at Dearborn and
Kansas City Assembly Plants from April 2, 2013 through June 5, 2013. Affected vehicles are
identified in OASIS. In addition, for a list of vehicles assigned to your dealership, visit
https://web.fsavinlists.dealerconnection.com. This information will be available on July 25, 2013.
REASON FOR THIS EMISSION RECALL
In all of the affected vehicles, the Downstream Catalyst Monitor Sensor (DCMS) Onboard Diagnostics
test does not complete. While the DCMS test is running and not completing, the engine air-fuel
control may remain biased rich, which has a negative impact on emissions and fuel economy.
SERVICE ACTION
Before delivering any of the vehicles involved in this recall, dealers are to reprogram the Powertrain
Control Module (PCM) to the latest level using IDS release 85.02 or higher. This service must be
performed on all affected vehicles at no charge to the vehicle owner.
NOTE: The State of California and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts require the completion of
emission recall repairs prior to vehicle registration renewal. For vehicles registered in these states,
please provide the owner with a Vehicle Emission Recall Proof of Correction certificate after the
repair has been performed. These certificates may be obtained by contacting your regional office.
OWNER NOTIFICATION MAILING SCHEDULE
Owner Letters are expected to be mailed by September 20, 2013. Dealers should repair any affected
vehicles that arrive at their dealerships, whether or not the customer has received a letter.

PLEASE NOTE:
The sale of uncorrected new vehicles to customers could lead to penalties under applicable
state and Federal regulations. Correct all vehicles in your new vehicle inventory prior to

Mine does the same, I did add about 5 lbs per tire on each corner with new tires but didnt think it would be THAT bad (even with the stock tires I only got 16-18 at 70-74). Now I gotta check this out as well......
