Last time I checked the pre '13 bov got re-routed into the intake piping, so yah you will hear the bov more with an intake. You can also just vent them at the turbos if you wanted.

Weird. I helped a buddy of mine install one on his VW TDI about 5 years ago. Still running and works fine. yea, they dont tend to come with one on them, nor do most turbo cars now, but they can be installed. Do a quick youtube search for diesel bov and you'll see.

I have another similar question. When I remote start my truck revs up super loud and then there is a pop and it calms down. Anyone else's do this?

2013 has larger turbos (51mm compressors) compared to 2011-2012 (48mm). Also the 2013 has a single BOV after the intercooler, whereas 2011-2012 has the twin BOV on the turbo's compressor housing.

if you would like to convert a 2011-2012 to 2013+ spec you simply need to upgrade the turbos and then add another BOV post-intercooler <hint keep an eye on Slow.>

That's interesting. What are the pros and cons of each (2011/12 vs 2013)?

Is that for all 13's? I know some 13's don't have the updated CAC programming or new CAC. I don't know if that's related to the rest of the changes, though.
