Yeah wish i had a bigger tank. I can't even go to Saskatoon from edmonton and back on a tank of gas, I figured if I had the 36 gallon tank I would have just made it there and back and home with 0 gas to spare.

I love how all us Canadians were attracted to a thread with km's in the title...

Thats why I clicked in too! haha

To the OP, what kind of driving do you normally do? City or highway?

In the city I average around 16 us/mpg and highway at either 19-20 us/mpg.
which is around 850-900km a tank city.

I use the mpg in the truck so I can watch the .1-.9 fluctuate so I have better idea on the gas being used.

136L=US 36GAL
683.508M/ 36G = 18.98MPG

So your 1100km per tank is probably correct.
yeah, but you also have to remember that we never fill up right from zero gas. I was on 1km from empty once, needle on OMFG, and an Irate gf on my a** cause I was willing to see if how close I could get.

and I still only put a little under 131 L.... with that 5L i could have squeezed in another 31km!

not that I'm not knocking the possiblity.... Ive never used 100% a tank on highways yet, always a mix with mostly city driven too.

Yup. Lol. That's why I'm here. I figure if I get another ecoboost next year with the big tank I should be easily getting 1200km on a tank with what I get on my little 98L tank

I'm from the USA and I'm averaging 18.7 mpg and get 653 miles to a tank of fuel.
I have the 36 gallon tank so his estimates/figures are correct.

that is 12.36L/100km, that is providing that you used all 136L, that is with stock tires right? And mainly hwy? You must be light on the gas, are you a hypermilear? this is very believable, next time you fill up calculate the Litres say 136L divided by the 1100km divided by 100= 11.00(km)=12.36L/100km way easier than converting to the us gallon and confusing it with the old imperial....I used to hate the L thing, now I find it easier and more accurate, so the calculation is 136/11=12.36 the confusing way I presented this was the 1100.km is divided by one hundred, that is how it is 11.

That is a good way to calculate. I come from the metric system and can use the old US imperial too but it is so much worse to calculate with most the time. Especially inches and feet. Whoever started the fuel calculations in the metric system should have done similar to what was being used in imperial like km/L. I have been using this for calculations if I am being lazy.

I was at 0 km to empty and filled up the other day and actually put 99.09L into my supposedly 98L tank (first cutoff, no topping up). That was close!!!

As far as the L/100km and US MPG goes, I find that the L/100km just mean absolutely nothing to me to this day. My truck averages 10L/100km on the trip computer so I know that as long as it's at 10 I'm happy, but I still switch to english all the time to see the MPG display.
