Post Optional Leather Dimension

Thank you. as posted by 2016XLT I too believe that paying 5 K to 7K for leather and electronics is over the top. I Like the Leather and I miss it from having it from my former truck. I'd like to know the dimensions for a future order in mind.

Secondly, in all honesty I do not know what the order specs were. I got them through one of our dealership vendors and had them install them. I wrenched for too long that some things I leave for others. One being interior work... I can find out though for sure. Our accessory rep at the store has the diagram of what the kit is called, as for colors, I asked for factory match black outlay with black suede insert and factory match stitch. The stitch you see there is silver, they replaced it with a grey stitch kit last week.

I had a 14 appearance package until this one and loved the suede. Not a leather fan but with suede in it I love it!
I would like the specs on these seats too. After looking at a thousand interiors I think this is the one.

My dealer installed the black Katzkin's $1,400 plus $100 for perforated. It's a great upgrade in conjunction with the factory heated seats.

Finally got the answers I think:
Two Tone Combo Kit, Factory match black leather with black suede inserts and Factory Match Grey Stitching.

This kit only reflects the Sport Packages as the chrome packages have different interior so factory match may actually be gray with black stitch as we have done on other F-150s at the store here.

This thread confirms that I made the right decision on the truck I just purchased. I will be looking into seat covers. Thanks for the pics and info.

I did the Katzkin kit install myself recently and I'm very happy with it. For under a grand and less than a day's labor I put a leather kit and the Ford/Kicker subwoofer in my 2016 XLT Screw with center console. Both upgrades are TOTALLY worth the $$ and time. My local Katzkin installer wanted $1500 and wouldn't budge so F him. I got the basic Cobblestone kit and I'm quite happy with it. It makes the seats a bit firmer, which I like and it looks 100x better than that crappy cloth. The seat heaters still work great as well.
The install was pretty straight forward if you're a little handy and watch a few installation vids ahead of time. For the most part it came out very well. I did get one pucker on the shoulder of the shotgun seat that probably wouldn't be there with a professional installation but for the $925 difference I'm gonna live with it. essentially all of the other wrinkles/puckers came out within a couple days in the Carolina sun. See for yourself;

Indents are from the kid's car seat I removed for the pic.

That looks phenomenal!

I have watched a couple videos and think I'm going to tackle this myself as well. Seems like a fairly decent project how many hours did it take you? And what parts were the most difficult?

If you watched the vids you should have a good idea what to expect. The hardest part is getting a feel for the clips in the foam. Ford doesn't use hog rings on this truck which is good. However the plastic clips in the foam are just that, plastic clips in foam. They are glued in the foam so if you yank on them, you'll rip them completely out of the foam and then you're SOL. Same thing goes if you try to use a putty knife/ Screwdriver etc to jam into the clip and then have it slip and rip the foam around the clip. I did that on one and learned my lesson quickly. I found that a thin, flexible and DULL putty knife works best if carefully inserted into the clip and then you can rotate the plastic strip out of the clip. It won't make sense until you see one but it will once you do. Also if you can pop the strip out of a couple clips you can usually slide the rest out without having to release the other clip(s).

Reinstalling the new strips into the clips hurts, no lie. Your fingers will hurt when you're done. Respect to the dudes who do this all day, every day.

Get your panels smooth and aligned BEFORE you cut for the headrests etc. That's how I ended up with the pucker I have. Once you cut the headrest holes the **** is pretty much gonna live wherever it is at that time.

For the headrests. Remove the hard plastic inner piece and legs and then remove the soft foam from the cloth skin. Install the soft foam into the new headrest first and then insert the hard inner piece. It goes in simple like that.

Be careful prying off the rear seat latch surrounds. The clips are thin and break easily.

One of the vids I saw showed a guy removing the power sliding seat buttons from the side of the front seats. You don't need to do this. That entire plastic trim panel removes as one unit, buttons and all.

I found it easier to remove the front seat backs from the seat bases which one vid did not do. Just a couple screws but makes everything much simpler.

Disconnect your battery after removing the seat bolts on front seats as you're going to have to mess with the side airbags. However you do need the seats to slide first to get access to the bolts. The side airbags are pretty straightforward but I found that getting all the clip installed on the front of the seat first, then re-installing the air bag into the side sleeve worked best.

Make sure you have a Torx50 driver and it also helps to lay the seat skins out in the sun for a bit to soften them up prior to installation.

I hope this all helps. It's totally doable and you'll love the end result. Get after it and good luck. Post pics when you get done.

About 7 hours start to finish. Hopefully these tips will save you some time.
