Default Canister tonneaus

Hey all

Looking to outfit my '17 screw 157" with a tonneau. I've always used soft tops but I want stake bed bike/gear rails so I figured a canister rollup would keep from interfering and let me stow gear safely while adventuring.

Problem is I often need the full bed.

Who makes a good reasonably priced canister that removes quickly?

Pace Edwards makes several that allow you to mount yakima/thule bars to the tracks in the top. They also make a model that is easy to remove/reinstall. I do not believe they make a model that can do both of those things....

I have been happy with my Ultra Groove with Thule crossbars.

Another one with optional Yakima rack is Truck Covers USA. The Undercover Ridgelander is a folding cover with an optional bike rack.

I see that I'm a little late to this post, however maybe it will be helpful to those who stumble across this thread. If you're looking for a great quality retractable cover that is fairly priced, I would look at the RetraxOne MX. This model cover can be ordered with the stake hole pocket cut outs and is compatible with a variety of aftermarket accessories. You can usually pick one up for around $1,100 - $1,200 and they are better quality than more expensive brands - Sealed Ball Bearing System, Limited Lifetime Warranty, Can lock in any position, the list goes on. If anyone has any questions please feel free to reach out, we're more than happy to help however we can!

What I REALLY want is the Pro MX TRAX that was promised at SEMA that hasn't shown up anywhere yet.

But I also don't need a $3K tonneau and rack system when I can build it for about $800. :-D

I would also like that, but the last I heard from Retrax is "mid-year". They confirmed to me by email they were working on it, but when a company gives a date like "mid-year", I'm not going to sit around and wait for it. I am probably going to go with a Retrax and some kind of Yakima rack. Google "retrax and yakima", there is a quick video that comes up from a local installer near me that did just that.

If Retrax needs some engineering support, I'm more than willing to trade some of my time for a prototype!
