Default Window Tint

I have a 2016 f150 king ranch and I have been trying to get the front two windows tinted to match the back two factory windows. I have gone to two different tint shops and they have all tried several different films including 3M and SunTek They have been able to successfully match the percentage however not the color. The factory back windows have a warm almost brown undertone while every tint they put on the front has a blue undertone. I can’t be the only person going through this. Does anyone has a solution?

I'm getting mine done next week. Let me know if you find a solution!

can't help with a solution but i will give you a piece of advice - before you buy any tint check and see what is legal in your area. in ohio for example we cannot legally tint the side windows as dark as the factory tint. the side windows are limited to 50%. rear windows (door and car) can be 0%, nothing allowed on the windshield.

Easiest solution is to tint the rear doors and slider a little darker making it harder to tell if there is a difference in color. It is next to impossible to match the factory coloration 100% perfectly.

I know you probably already got your windows tinted but to help the next guy/girl: 3m crystalline matches pretty well. The back windows measured about 17%

I do prefer the Ceramic color from the inside, the crystalline is a little too brown from the inside for my tastes but oh well.

Mine looks factory as far as I can tell. 20% is what he told me he went with. I do not know the brand etc. Mid-West Tint Techs is where I got it done. (855) 200-8468 Owners name is Bobby, he could tell you.

We did double on the backs (5% on top of OEM) and 5% up front and on the strip

Slight variance but looks good.

Remember a lot of light comes through the windshield so the front driver and passenger side windows always seem to be a shade off during the day then the rears since the rear has all 3 factory done.

20% seems to be the best match

Is the OEM window tint just darker or does it have heat refelective properties like a ceramic tint?
