Default Want a 4 inch lift without cutting mounts. Any thoughts?

I have a 2017 FX4 4WD. I want to lift it but only see where you can go up to a 3" kit before cutting crossmembers or mounts. Can I get a quality 4" lift without cutting?

Nope, don't believe there are any actual suspension lifts that don't require cutting. Cutting the crossmember mounts is necessary to provide clearance for the differential to drop down.

Is it a big deal or just looks concerning because your cutting on a new truck?

Dropping the differential is necessary to correct the CV angles. With a leveling kit the recommendation is to go no higher than 2" of lift (some say 2.5") to make sure your CV angles don't get too extreme. A 3" level will push them to the limit so you can imagine a 4" lift would just destroy them.

Just my $0.02 but a 2 - 2.25" level will do everything a 4" lift can (as far as fitting larger tires, etc) at a fraction of the cost of a 4".
