Just figured you would all appreciate the install of a dual band vhf/uhf radio in my 2018 lariat. I use this both in the amateur band and for search and rescue.

Yes, I did the install myself. There is a rubber firewall grommet located above and to the left of the brake pedal under the drivers dash. Its easy to access. The antenna wire ran from there through the floor/door trim piece and than under the seat to where the actual radio is. The remote head and speaker wires ran through the center console kick panel and than up through the dash to where they are located.

its an anytone at5888uv I've had great luck with it and have two of them.

I have a few China handhelds, but none are Anytone. Good to know.
