There are places online to get the SCT and custom tunes. Custom tunes are just what they are. Made just for your vehicle and not a one size fits all.

Default Oversize tire compensation

Will any of the programmers allow you to adjust the speedometer to compensate for larger tires or is that a dealer function only?

Any tuner or tuning system that has access to the rom can program for any perimeter where some systems fall short if the software for tuning dies not allow the tuner access to full list of perimeters. I have worked with Diablosport and Alientech, for compassion proposes. My friend has the Diablosport CMR Software and what I learned with both systems it all comes down to the tuner. We used my truck as a test (2003 Expy Eddy B) both got the about the same results from the generic tunes. Then he starts to tweak the tunes for both and that is where both systems really made a difference in the truck. The fact that all vehicles from all manufactures are designed to perform the same in North America any programer will get about the same results..the big difference is the person that custom tweaks the generic tune. Once a "tune" is established it can be used on any truck with the same romid. That is why most programmers will ask you for year make model engine and parts of your VIN they need to establish the romid. I like the idea of a system that can read my ecu send that file to skilled tuner and have that person patch in the files needed then I can upload that into my truck, reason all my rom info stays the same software number and hardware and VIN numbers all stay the same, some programers just download and erase your rom then upload the rom from the development truck that has been tuned. Just my thoughts based on what we did with my truck.

Do you have to run a higher octane in a tuner? I was considering the edge evolution but not if u have to up to 91 around here that's $0.30 a gallon more. What tuners let u run 87 and still recieve good results?

Get a Gryphon from Bill at Power Hungry Performance. You'll be more than happy and can still run 87. http://www.powerhungryperformance.com/

Level 1 & 2 of the Edge can be run with 87-93

Level 3 is 93+ only
