that is not a straight yes or no answer.

If you get an over the counter Programmer for a 2007 f150 w/5.4 it should work on another 2007 5.4 but only one at a time. It cannot tune one and then go to next truck and tune it also.

The programmer is locked to the one vehicle. but once you put the vehicle back to stock you may be able to use it on the other vehicle.

If you get a custom tune then it is tuned to the computer and mod on the particular truck not the other one.

Ordered my VMP tune the other day! Now to wait and see what a real tune will do. Hope I gave them enough info.

Default No difference noticed

So started reading this thread about 2 month ago and it seemed the way to go was SCT. I decided to purchase my tuner from VMP and have it "custom tuned" for larger than stock tires and a CAI.

I received my tuner and tried to install it. Apparently the factory did an update to my PCM at some point and I needed to give the code to VMP for a downloadable update to my flasher.

After all is said and done, I didn't notice a difference in 87, 89, or 91 performance settings- only firmer shifts. At about 2500 rpms the truck felt like it was running rich so I leaned it out and it got worse. I played with the A/F and noticed the best setting was the one that had been set by VMP.

I returned the truck to stock and have left it like that for about 2 weeks.

Anybody have any similar problems with their tuners? Not necessarily with VMP, just their tuner in general.

Ok got my tune and put on my MAC intake. Well I will report more in a few days, not so sure the tune and intake did much if anything. It does sound deeper. As for the Tune, does seemed to shift a lil different, but doesnt seem to kick down as much. I will drive a few days and plan to take a trip here in 2 weeks, if not happy may have a intake for sale. LOL

i bout the edge evolution cs programmer and a k&n cold air intake stock the proggrammer said my truck ran a 12.8 in the 0-60 with those to mods and 93 octane my truck runs 8.8 0-60... i mean thats not great but still id do it all over again. i got it for mainly towing and thats where i have seen the best results pulls much better from a dead stop and much better on the highway. id recommend the edge

Edge is offering a rebate on their new stuff. I can't find it,so I must have deleted it. I think the code is kickback.

Default New Here and too drunk too read all the posts...Help

Just bought a 1998 F-150 supercab , 4.6l, 2 wheel drive. Truck has 33" tires and a 3" lift. I want to add programable performance, calibrate speedo, tranny seems fine but if the programmer can tune shift points then that is good too. What is the best unit for my truck? Thanks a Bunch.

Default SCT X3 Tuner

If anyone has any experience with Brenspeed custom tunes for the SCT X3, I would appreciate your feedback (good or bad).

Thank You,

C Jones
