12 miles into the tune so I haven't seen anything over 4500rpm just yet, but I can totally tell a difference. There is definitely more low end power. actually makes the truck more drivable as there isn't such the abrupt power delivery at 3250rpm. The transmission shifts silky smooth and very quick. To the point where I didn't notice shifts occurring. I didn't expect to like shifts that smooth, but they are so quick that its luxurious. The Canned tune had firm, clunky shifts that weren't exactly great for anything other than making you feel them.

It had just rained here, but I was unintentionally peeling out far more than I expected at stops. Threw it into 4H at a tricky merging turn cause I knew I was just going to smoke them the second I got into it.

So I'm def optimistic so far here. It is very much better than the canned tune so far. If I only bought the tuner for the canned tune, Id probably just return to stock and sell it as it was underwhelming, but this is exactly how the truck should feel.

question for anyone running any tune.

Are there any noticeable changes when using cruise control?

what kind of changes are you talking about? typically cruise control is as static of a state as you can be in driving down the road.

FYI, the Omega is pretty awesome. And perhaps the most awesome part is it feels like everything is operating better than it was before. Shifts are cleaner, low rpm driving is improved, Sport mode is even sportier. Actually using sport mode much less than before because the truck operates so much better in normal drive mode

Other than "God da$%, does this truck move", I don't think anyone driving your truck for the first time would believe its modded.

Exactly, so the tune doesn't change that?

That's what I wanted to know as I use CC a lot, I didn't think it would change it, except for the shifting. But CC rarely shifts out of 5th or 6th anyway.

Sounds like I'll be going with the Omega tune in a week or 2.

Thanks

Just got my Omega tune from Ken. Should have it loaded this evening, then I guess I'll go for a little drive to let it re-learn.

Congratulations. After doing the KAM reset after loading the tune, your truck will act funky for probably 15-25 miles, Then you will notice things settling down and running great. It will pull like never before above 3K rpm, but youll also notice much better bottom end.

You were right. the first 20 miles were sketchy. 2nd and 4th gear were flat, throttle was dead. 3rd pulled pretty good. After parking for a couple hours, the ride home was much better. 2nd was still kinda weak below 3k but no worse than stock.

This morning everything woke up. Did a couple semi-hard pulls 0-70mph, merging onto the interstate from a stop. The shifts are firm and she pulls much harder. I haven't hit WOT yet. But on my 0-70 pulls I was letting off the gas at the same point I've always done and now I was at 85mph instead of 70mph. Just got to watch those back tires, they definitely won't hold a full launch.

I'll try to get some stop-go city driving in tomorrow and maybe some more hard pulls once things get a little more settled in.

After around a full tank of gas, you'll notice the tranny shifting even better. It's surprising that it learns for that long, but I've really started to notice incredible 6-3 downshifts and so on

im on V3 of the tune as I had ken adjust some shift points. I think I may have gone too extreme with V3. Might go back for my V2 tune after my upcoming oil change

been a fun last 3k miles though
