Tuner/Programmers
Just got my X4 in the mail so will be downloading 4 tunes - Eco and Performance tunes for both octanes. I'll let you know how it goes as I check them out.
I'm planning on installing a Boss 302 intake manifold next month and will need a custom tune for that. Already have FlowMaster and K&N dry air intake.

Has anyone with an SCT X4 F150 2014 with any of the downloaded tune tried any optional settings (you can change about 10 differnet individual settings even on a custome tune)??
Just get my X4 and so far love the new truck response.

Sct x4, because it was included with the blower. Haven't installed the blower yet so i flashed the 91 tune in the mean time. As far as customizing the canned tune i just disabled torque reduction and removed speed limiter, which im going to turn back on around 120mph. F150 12' 5.0
I have an SCT x4 with custom tunes. I loaded a tow tune in my 2011 Ecoboost and within 10 miles had awful engine noise and a bad shifting experience. I reloaded the Performance tune which was quite awesome. One week later, my ecoboost blew. Cracked block. Truck is being repaired for a minimum of $7200, Had 103,000 miles when I got the tuner...105,000 when motor blew. Hard to believe it was coincidence.
So I've scrolled through quite a bit of this thread and am still a little lost. I guess my main question here is what would be the best tuner/tune to put on my truck for more power and better gas mileage. My truck is a 2010 f150 with the 5.4 motor in it.

Im not sure you will find a "best" you will find a metric ton of opinions tho. Usually horsepower and fuel economy dont go in the same sentence. For instance im runnin the sct x4, they claim a 2mpg increase. I got a .2 mpg increase when babying my truck. Now when i get on it the thing rips compared to stock but its also down 1mpg from before.
