I Like Tires
I have an Edge Evolution Programmer for an 06 f150 5.4L. Does wonders for power after you lift it and stick some big muddin tires on it. I have a 3" lift and 33" tires and towing mode gave me about as much performance as I had w/o the 33s, slightly less, but close enough thats its totally worth $350 bucks. Performance mode makes it a whole other animal. Especially since you can advance the spark to really get some performance out of Higher Octane Fuels.

I am thinking about getting the Gryphon, just wanted to hear some other of your thoughts on it... easy to use? does it come with your custom tunes loaded on it once you buy it? would you have gotten a different one?... I only have a cold air intake and have been told i will need to get a custom tune rather than the canned to make it perform better really the only reason im looking at it over the edge that and sounds likes its a little rough on the tranny after reading some of these posts any issues like that with the gryphon?

I chose the edge only because thats what i have and it works well and i like the display. I have a custom tuned SCT in my ranger and i love the custom tunes but i dont like the lack of a dash display.

diablo 87 oct performance
Loaded 87 perf tune last week. Notice difference in throttle resp and shifting. First check of MPG showed maybe 1-1.5 improvement in city only driving. Too early to tell beyond that.
After a few days I thought I would play around and check the tune parms against the door jam sticker info on my truck.
06 SCrew 5.4L 3v (stone stock except GOTTs mod),
Q trans,
19 axle (3.55) ... tune had 3.73,
255/70/17 tires (calcs to TRs/mile=660) ... tune had 683,
NOV was 40; changed to 39 per my calcs.
So, seemed like good idea to set parms more specific to my gears and tires. Mod'd the tune to 3.55 axle, 660 TRs/Mile and NOV 39. Then added +1% global spark advance.
From what I have read, these seem like minor changes but I could tell difference in driving after the updates. Nothing major just different.
Question about data logging. Info I found about predator logging said fast setting with around 8 parms would log for 45 mins. Well, I got at most 2-3 minutes. The percent storage was jammin up to 100%. Have not yet tried slow logging, but maybe I missed something?
