I had a question about the tunes. Im going to order an x4 from 5 star but I'm not sure what tunes to select or does it matter. I was clicking on the 87 octane tunes for economy, performance and tow. I have an 05 FX4 with the 5.4L. The only mods Ive done is K&N CAI, Magnaflow cat back exhaust, 2.5 inch leveling kit, and went with 20x10 -24 wheels on 305/55/20. Any help would be great. Im just not familiar with all the different tunes as far as 87, 91 and etc.

So I didn't bother w/economy: 87, 89 (here) & 93 performance
Then 87 & 89 tow for 5 Tunes total

i was recently given a hypertech max energy power programmer(42501). and i have a 2010 f150 stx and tires are factory, no engine mods, no lift... was wondering if anyone that has had experience with hypertech could help me out with shift points and all the other settings before i go and accidentally mess something up. i know from what i've seen edge is preferred over hypertech but this was a free one so. why not? i'm looking for more of a eco performance set up. any help would be appreciated.

The truck has always hesitated/slow to respond
The tuner made a big difference, more responsive, smoother shifting
I have to put it back to stock to get my yearly Inspection sticker
After that back to the 89 tune, once Winter gas is gone I'll go to the 93 tune

So, after the 10 most terrifying minutes of my life, I got the 87 perf.tow tune from 5* loaded. Its amazing over stock. At first I didnt really notice on the test drive, but then you floor it. The tranny shifts and boosts in a lower gear, almost eliminating the lag from the turbos...Its great. Its great to respond. I love the way it shifts now. I have the 91 and 93 perf/tow tunes on it too, but have a full tank of 87 to use before I try those out. Im afraid of the 93, because if I like it a lot, ill have to keep using it, and jacking up my fill up costs! Had a Subaru that ran on premium and vowed I wouldn't deal with that again....
I had flashed/rooted many of my phones and other devices, but doing it to a 35K truck is a little nerve racking! Definitely recommended tho!

I've had the tuner since Feb and have only used the 87 econ tune. I know the best thing to do would be to program the different tunes until I find the one I like. I thought I would cut to the chase. I purchased the tuner since the bigger tires made my mileage/speedo out of calibration and Ford said they could not re program. Running stock on a 2010 F-150 SCREW 4.6L 3V w/ 96K miles. 5Star added some programming to help with the hard shifting, so when loading a tune, what is being changed? Tune choices are 87 econ, perf & tow,91 econ & perf & 93 econ & perf. Any suggestions? Willing to sacrifice some mileage for better performance.

I have a 2002 f150 Harley Davidson and was told to buy a programmer that plugs into the obd port 2. Any suggestions? Looking to get truck a tune in chip. What would be the best on market?
