if its the SCT livewire 9600 then no, they only supports up until 08 years, few 09 and no 10 on up.

I think it is a 9600. Its rectangle shaped with a wheel to turn on the one side.

Where is a good place to order one of the units that will work and ships to/within Canada?

I'm running the Canned SCT 91 right now and have half tank of 91 remaining. Is it ok to fill it with 93 while tune is 91 ? Thx

As long as you don't run octane less than your tune. More is ok.

2001 lariet 4wd, 5.4 litre, 3.55 finals on 33" BFG's 48,000 miles
no mods to truck yet other than live wire from 5 star tuning.

Bare in mind that I am limited to 2 registered vehicles by the base I am assigned to, so this truck must be my daily driver as the track ***** averages 5~10 MPG depending upon local and trafic, plus my kidneys canot handles the track car for perids of more than an hour at a time.

Noramally I tune my own computers either Apexi power FC, greddy Emanage, or HKS FCON via the global interface.

The live wire is a plug and play unit for non tuners, people who are not skilled at adjusting maps on their own, as such it has its limitations in regards to what you can do.... seems to be aimed at the shop level where the patron pays repeatedly for tunes. If you have a business agreement with SCT I am sure that they give yo a PC interface to adjust the live wire with.

I got this as this is my first foray into USDM computer tuning and well, gotta start somewhere. Ordered from 5 Star tuning. (5ST) . 5ST has been very responsive in their emails, and replies and the tunes they gave me with the parameters I provided are as such:

I revceived 6 tunes to start.

3 for 91 octane, 3 for 93

one each of economy, towing, and performance. so far I have been running the 93 tunes only as I have no nocking or pinging of any sort with their tunes as shown by my dataloging system (not the live wire). I have not attached the wideband yet to datalog , but will soon.

with stock ECU and no tunes loaded I averaged 8 MPG in the Kanagawa area driving on lower roads (not expressway) so no OD lock up at all. once I achieved lock up on the expressway 55~60 MPH mileage jumped to 18.2 over a 100 mile drive. With 93E economy loaded, I averaged 8 MPG city and 19.32 on the above 100 mile drive. real solid gain for simply a reflash with no mods.

So, 93 E not bad for my location, I spend much of my time below 30 MPH and the way they have adjusted it so far is for US standards, sorry I live in Japan. I will continue to corespond with 5ST to see if their is anything they can do for 1st & 2nd gear as this is where my truck spends 90% of it time. A short drive on the expressway though showed solid improvemnts when driving in the 50~60 MPH range.

93 P deffinite gains in the midrange from 1200 RPM up. this was calculated the old fashioned way with a stop watch and open roads. shaved 1.42 seconds off of my 0~50 MPH times, and I am sure that the loacal LEO's are still getting phone calls about my truck on the narrow japanese roads. (Henry Ford's Anvil Rules) Almost as excited with my new toy as I am with my track *****.

I have not tried the towing tune yet , as my camping trailer weighs a whopping 1500 lbs loaded and I still cannot tell when it is hitched up as the truck seems not to notice at all with the stock tune, though once I start towing the track ***** around (no trailer, tow hitch at 2238 lbs.) I can get some data. This is the primary purpose for the truck I might add.

all of this is at sea level +- 30' at 64F.

I am dissapointed with the live wire's interface. its touchscreen is very iffy on a good day half of the time you cannot scroll or select the item you want or you totally shoot past it.

The live wire appears to be a good plug and play tuner for the masses. 5 Star Tuning's customer service is well, outstanding, though this might be due to my remote location and them feeling sorry for me

I would deffinitely turn to them again for any future tuning on this interface unit.

I use the SCT Livewire TS. Waiting on my custom tunes to come in, but running the 93 canned tune. Much better over stock. Can't wait til custom ones come in.
