best choice
Hey guys first time poster long time reader. I'm trying to decide which tuner/programmer would be best for me. I drive a 2012 5.0 F150 4x4 with Roush CAÍ and Roush catback exhaust system. I drive about 50 miles each day from school then work, go on roadtrips pretty often, and I casually go trailing in the dunes. I'm want a quick horsepower boost and I really want to get rid of the speed limiter. I was looking at the EVO Cts and the Livewire from 5 Star tuning. Would really like to know what you guys think of those two systems and which one would better suite my driving. Thanks

I love my exhaust sound is sick and you can really feel the extra power when you punch it. I've owned flowmaster, Gibson, and magnaflow but Roush sounds so aggressive.

Whats up guys, so I got my SCT livewire from 5 star tuning, and i love it! Mike knows his his stuff and very helpful.I got six custom tunes and everything was simple to do. The increase in power is pretty awesome. Anyways I do have a few problems, when i punch in on 87 performance, I get a bit of pre-ignition. Is anybody out there running an 05 F-150 with a K&N intake system have any ideas as to what I can do.
Thanks,
Brent

I think you will find 89 oct. is more over all a better cost solution. Better performance and mileage. First drive it and give the pcm a chance to adaptive learn.
Walmart fuel is very consistent. I like Sunoco 93. Fuel quality and tire pressure make a big difference. First and for most the right foot has the biggest impact. Set cruise control at every possible chance. The PCM is more efficient at lean cruise than a human.
Our max power 93 tune has no issues. We just are not selling on line.
Good luck

Looking at getting an sct tuner for my 2010 fx2 5.4. I currently have a k&n installed. Want to get exhaust first and maybe some long tubes so should I wait after I do these upgrades? Will most likely get some custom tunes. How much are custom tunes going for? Any info is appreciated thanks

The motor is an air pump run by a computer. You should recal with cai alone. Header and exhaust puts you in the must tune category. The gold standard for Ford is SCT. You need a custom file to get the best results.
