Default Tips

I'm not a big exhaust person but I do like how my exhaust sounds. I want to dress it up with a nice bigger chrome tip. Will a bigger diameter tip, about 3-3.5in. diameter and 10in. long change the sound of my exhaust in any way? I just want to dress it up. Thanks for any input ya'll.

majikmike69,
Just as davieboi89 said; the tip has little to no effect on the sound of an exhaust. I'm R&D and I create the exhaust systems for all sorts of vehicles; the only way to change the tone of your exhaust sound, is to literally mess with the exhaust itself.

If you want a true sound change, I would suggest an air intake kit, as well as headers (working off the idea that your exhaust system has already been changed). Best of luck, feel free to message me with any questions you may have regarding your exhaust.
