Stubby antenna recommendations

Looking for a stubby antenna that will still have good reception. Tired of mine hitting my garage

No such animal. You can always clip the end of yours but only as much as you need to clear what you're hitting.

I got the stubby from cravenspeed, reception is just fine.

I've noticed anything less than 12"-14" tens to mess with reception. This is just my experience, other than that mine has been fine.

I had a stubby for about 2 hours. Service sitting still was great but once he truck moved it was just horrible. Instead I took off the stubby, and cut my OE antenna down by 3" it still works great!

I agree!!!

I've had my Cravenspeed stubby on for almost a year now and 13,500 miles.

I've been up and down the east coast from Florida to Connecticut, and out in very rural areas of NC, SC, and VA, and have never had a reception problem.

I've been in rural areas where there's not much FM (or at least nothing worth listening to!), but have always had great XM reception - and I listen to that almost exclusively anyway.

FM reception in FL is excellent when I do listen to local stations.

I'm very satisfied with my stubby antenna!

I believe XM has its own antenna on the roof of the truck. Am/Fm run off of the hood antenna

Oh yeah - you're right about the FM antenna!!

In the picture in my earlier post I think that bump on the roof above the passenger side is probably the XM antenna.

Thanks for bringing that up!!

AMI Big Stick. Available in different lengths. I bought the 15" for my F150 and the reception is as good or better than the stock whip antenna.
