Default Extang Trifecta 2.0 Vinyl or Canvas?

Thinking about ordering a Tri-fold soft cover for my truck. The Extang products attract me because they are easy on and off and sit on top of the bed rails and dont need a rail system. Originally I was looking at the a Hard Cover like Solid Fold 2.0 but i ve read too many reports of water leaking around the composite panels and such....no bueno. Plus I can't justify the price. There's less reports of water leaking with the soft covers over the hard covers. Water proofing is more what I'm shooting for.

So, I've narrowed it down to the Extang Trifecta 2.0. But I can't decide if I should get the regular one with vinyl or the "Signature series" with Canvas. Beside looks, which one is more durable? I've heard reports of water pooling with the canvas one and it's harder to clean. Plus it's more expensive. Any difference in resistance to flapping during driving down the highway? Which material is heavier?

I know you already ruled out the Solid Fold 2.0, but I had one on my 2011 & 2013 and purchased a new one for my 2017. I never had a leak with either one and they are more secure than a soft fold.

Generally Canvas tends to look a little bit sharper than the vinyl, however, it is more difficult to maintain and keep up with. Not saying it is overly hard just that it requires more attention than the vinyl. If you are keeping the vehicle stored outside in the environment then we recommend the vinyl over the canvas as it holds up better against harsher climates.

Inhave the Trifecta 2.0 in vinyl and love it! Very easy to clean and maintain. Super easy to wipe clean and dry off!

Then why does Extang's website say that the Canvas is more durable than the vinyl?

Canvas - vinyl...I used to have a vinyl one and it flapped around just like all the other ones ive seen on the highways.

Spend the extra $$$ get the bak hard top or any other flush mounted hard tonneau

Like the look of the flush mount ones. But, I want to be able to take it on and off easily and without additional rails and all that so one that sits on top is preferable for that reason. Solid Fold 2.0 is an option but I ve heard too many negative reviews about them leaking. The new Rough Country Hard Cover is promising.

Just sounds like there is less complaints about water leaking into the bed with the soft tri-folds over the hard ones. The Trifecta 2.0 has superior clamps and all the features of the Solid Fold 2.0. I'm just still debating between the Canvas or Vinyl one.

Looks aside.....just wanna know which material is more durable against UV, hail damage, road salt, tearing, etc.

Sorry for some reason it didn't give me the notification that you messaged back. The Canvas will be more durable against day to day use say opening and closing the cover often. However, it is more susceptible over time to the environment than the vinyl is what I was saying. Sorry if I was unclear.
