You can have my Retrax.
Absolutely hate it.
Noisiest thing on the road. clatters and rattles while driving so much. you cant even open the rear window.
It came with my truck, and I'd never buy one now.
Perhaps they put it on wrong, but I don't think so.
My 2 cents.

I'd say it's probably installer error. I've installed more Retrax covers than I can count and I've never had noise issues. If you want me to help you troubleshoot it, let me know. I'd be happy to help!

I LOVE my RETRAX PRO,4 years old ,NO noise,no water,no problems,,,EVER.
Installed it myself (Great Customer service when I installed it,must have called them 4 times in 2 hours) If I ever get a new truck I would get the same one except in textured matte black.( they didn't have that back then )

Installed my Lo Pro QT (2006 F150 6.5ft) yesterday. I'm not sure you could latch the cover with the tailgate up. It's made to be latched first, then the tailgate shut.

We had thunderstorms overnight, and it leaked at the tailgate and at the header. The problem at the header is because the rubber flap is higher in the area with the velcro and they didn't give me enough bulkhead seal weatherstripping to double it for that three inches on each side. Not sure what the issue is at the tailgate. Will be calling Truxedo after the holiday.

I can answer that for you!
The rails on the LoPro QT are designed to have the side seals level with the top of the bed caps. This will allow you to be able to close the cover on top of the tailgate.

Most people who install that cover for the first time, align the rails lower than that because it makes for a lower profile. It's your truck, and at the end of the day you have to be happy with it and if you want to have the lower profile, the trade off is sacrificing some weather resistance.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I hope that is helpful!

It has a Ford-branded factory bedliner, and the side seals (rubber surface on the rails, right?) are absolutely flush with the top of the rail caps.
