Default bulbs

Hi everybody.. Im new to this forum. Hope to learn a lot from you guys. I have F-150 2005 FX4. Im looking to upgrade my headlights. I really like "Spec D Dual Halo R8 Smoke LED lights. There is few options From carid to ebay. Difrence of course in price but also in bulbs. My question is some use H1 some H3 for low beams. What is the difference between them and also do you have any experience with that light? thanks http://www.ebay.com/itm/FORD-2004-20...569c11&vxp=mtr

H1 and H3 bulbs are physically a little different. The H3 bulb actually has a small pigtail for the positive lead to the bulb where as the H1 bulb just has a terminal directly on the bulb base. I believe the filaments are also oriented 90 degrees differently. Also, it doesn't make much of a difference which seller you purchase from on Ebay for aftermarket headlights/taillights. It's all coming from pretty much the same factory in China.

You'll find with either bulb type they're really just meant for auxiliary lighting, not primary lighting. I've been suffering through the poor performance of my Ebay headlights for about a year. IMO, you're better off to stick with a headlight design that uses the stock bulb or if you really want to throw down some cash, do an HID projector retrofit.

Thanks. The real reason why I'm shopping for new headlights is because I really like LED lights on some of new cars like Audi, BMW, Lexus, KIA etc. Any other way to get quality LEDs? Buy daylight lights or LED strips? Any suggestions? Thanks
