Default Reverse Lights with a 3 way switch

I am wanting to install reverse lights in my 2011 f150 5.0 Lariat 4x4. I want the option to turn the lights on and off, but also on with reverse. Is there a way to wire up a three way switch so there is on, off, and on with reverse? I want the ability to turn it off when I don't want to blind others and leave them on to use them as work lights, but also the convince of them automatically coming on while in reverse. I will wire the switch to a future overhead panel. Please let me know if any of y'all have done this!

I installed lights on my bumper. I used a small 3 way toggle switch. I have front light bar and rear light bar on the same toggle switch. I can only have one on at a time. My tint is dark so I use them to reverse and leave them on when working on my trailer. Relay switch is YL-388-8 12v/30A. The toggle switch is a small red one from Autozone for like 6 bucks. It's a lot better then the nasty switches they give you with the lights. I should have pictures on my profile. As far as hooking up a switch to your reverse lights for auto on and a seperate on/off switch for working that's too much trouble. Just go with a small toggle and relay. Make sure you put a fuse close to the 12v supply.

Rigid's backup kits come with a 3-way switch and it works quite well. I like their wiring as it's basic with direct power from the battery, with a fuse and relay, and in a full loom. You tap into the 7-pin trailer wire for the reverse lead.

Yea, sure, that's what I did. I can't find my diagram but I can borrow one from someone else. Basically the same as the one I drew (I used a DPDT switch instead of SPDT because the one I found I liked a lot: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B001HBXWLU)

I plan on putting in a relay at some point on mine to wire up a " tailgater " switch.

I'm not sure if you figured this out yet or not, but post #6 below has a good write up on how to wire the switch.
