They are definitely not apples to apples, but that's cool that they have that option. I bought one of those a few years ago a basic starter with only one remote for 49.99 at BJ's or Sam's club. I wanted to have it installed but no one in my area would install it. None of the shops here wouldn't install it, they all said the same thing "if it's not made by DEI we can't install it" at least that way the way it way a few years ago.
I'm sure there ok though or they wouldn't still be around making and selling them.

I like mine, it does what it is suposed to do, it starts my truck.

my friend has one of the expensive ones and loves it, he even instaled it himself with no problem.

and the cellstart feature looks awesome!

but you do need a bypas module if you have a the pats key I belive...
