Thanks techrep, this is the kind of firsthand information I want. Did you swap out an '09 transmission? Also: Do you have dual or single exhaust, do you have a programmer, and was 20mpg before the bigger tires?

The jury is still out as far as I'm concerned with Throttle body spacers. I have not seen FIRST HAND that they give any types of positive results. No offence to anyone that has good claims with them; I'ts just that I've seen many posts of those that have waisted money buying them, as they did not see any performance or gas mileage gains with them. Some have gone so far as to call them "snake oil" purchases.

Ok that review is complete BS. I thought we established that already. The fact that it said an f150 with a few hundred dollars in mods gets above 25 mpg discredits everything written. If a part of it is a lie it is safe to assume the rest is a lie as well.

Fine. That review is BS, but of all 8 other people that have posted on this thread, I only have 1 person that has these modifications and posted a realistically achievable mileage. That's what I am asking for.

No programmer yet...single flowmaster 50 series and the tranny came with the truck in 08. The trottle body space works at higher RPM's so...you would see a difference at highway speeds and can really feel it when you mash the gas at 60 mph. takes off nicely. Maybe with a programmer I can get alil more gas mileage...but I really don't care about that I want HORSES...

Techrep you say you notice the difference at high rpms but all the websites advertise it increase low to mid range power. Are you sure arent just feeling the power your truck already has?

FYI: 6-speed trannys (6R80) are available only on 2009 and later F150's, your 2008 FX4 only has a 4-speed auto. I will paypal you $50 if your truck didnt come with a 4R75.
