My hood cap was delivered today
I'll have to trim either the hood cap or the oem raptor grille, I don't know which would be best...depending on gDMJoe instructions.
To you guys using the oem raptor grille, are you trimming the hood cap or the grille?

Default Hood cap with OEM grille

I am due to receive my hood cap still. I am planning on using it with an OEM grille. I am saddened to hear somehow fitment is not good for using the filler with an OEM grille. All I can say is once you cut or trim that over $600.oo OEM grille, it's value goes to zero in value. I'd recommend trimming the hood cap. It's worth less so you can replace it for less than the OEM grille.
It sure would have been nice if this information was disclosed in pre-purchase. I will look at this very closely when I receive [Jan 7] my filler piece and post to the blog.

I believe he made it to fit his grille perfectly so when you try to use two different products you can only expect something is going to have to be modified.

Excellent write up, I think I may just end up trimming the oem raptor grille. It seems easier and I don't care if it loses value by cutting it because I don't plan on selling it.
