There's nothing "armor piercing" about Critical Defense....it's just designed to perform well even after passing through clothing.

Some folks who use theese feel completely secure in the knowledge that their gun is locked in a safe but it will do you no good when the fhit hits the san and your weapon is out of reach. Others have had not only their truck stolen but also the gun that was locked in the safe. Most guns used by criminals are stolen from homes and vehicles so keep it on you or leave it at home.

I have mounted several "Magnet" holsters in my truck and house in all areas where you may need a gun...These things work very well..

So you don't keep your guns in your home? Or you take all your guns with you everytime you leave home?

There's a big difference between an 800# safe that's anchored to the slab of your home and a portable lockbox mounted in a pickup but I think you know that. Trust me on this one

The ones that bolt down to the floor of the car or truck are fine but the ones that just use a cable lock are worthless. Anything can be hacked into it's just how long it takes someone to get into it. Normally if someone breaks into the truck, they're not going to want to put the time into breaking into a lock box their just gonna grab what ever is lying around.

No need to state the obvious just as I don't need to point out that most people who own guns, don't have 800# safes anchored to the slabs of their homes either (or the statistic you first sighted wouldn't be so true).
--
And even of those who do have 800# safes, how many lock up all their home/self defense guns every single time they depart the house?

My point is, that within reason, you can make a vehicle-carried pistol relatively secure and still have it assessable. In Texas, where I'm from, it is a state law - passed by the legislature a couple of years ago - that it is perfectly okay to have a gun in the vehicle (even loaded), as long as it's kept out of sight. It's part of the Castle Doctrine Law in Texas.
.
Does that mean if your vehicle is broken in to, that your pistol won't be stolen? Of course not but you can take steps to greatly reduce the likelihood (not unlike a home burglary). As others have already pointed out, there's very little chance to stop a determined thief (if he has enough time and remains undetected...and that applies to either home or auto).

Thats why I use the "Magnet" holsters....they can hide a gun well, and you still have access if needed quickly...If a perp comes up on you suddenly, you don't have time to unlock a safe, but with the magnet, you can reach and pull your weapon very fast...out of site, out of mind! Like I said, I have them everywhere...

Mounted mine under back seat next to the jack, also doubles for storing my GPS.
