My current truck is not an F150, but my next one probably will be! I had a 2004 F150 Lariat and then a 2007 Lincoln Mark LT. My current truck is the result of a couldn't-pass-it-up trade with a friend. What was I thinking...

Well, let me rephrase that "We'll do what it takes to earn an enthusiastic review!" to be "We'll do what it takes short of bribery!"

Hopefully I'll be writing a positive review for you soon.

Other possible problem I thought of is how much force I'll need to get it folding up. 4x4 height might be a problem on that. I'll find out when it gets here. Didn't get those silly side steps on my truck. lol
Maybe you can build a "jig" like this boat, only for a Ford F150. You might be able to sell it in the form of shipping it from truck to truck. If you scroll down to post number 1715, you'll notice the guy building this boat at his home bought a Ford F-250 to pull the 27' fishing yacht. He's done a fantastic job over the past year and along way built a small fishing rig for bass fishing and hunting. I spent 2 hours scrolling through this fascinating feat of courage and determination. But then again, what else would you expect from a Search and Rescue professional?

Does the cover offer any on-top load support rating when closed? I mean, is it possible to have the bed contain cargo, and still strap things to the top of the cover for additional transport capability?

Good for you Heath. There's a fine line sometimes between customer support and sodomy.

Jack,

Ya just gotta love this Heath guy. I’ve walked in his shoes; been the CEO of a few companies myself. Ya just don’t throw your garbanzo beans on the ground for someone to stomp on them unless you know you’re tough enough to deal with the pain and do something about the consequences.

Mac,
I couldn't agree with you more. Heath's been a stand up guy so far. The consequences would be detrimental if he doesn't hold up to his end of the bargain. We'd all probably have problems and end up performing a massive smear campaign on the various forums. As far as CEO is concerned, I've seen things you probably have never seen dealing with the corporate ladder nose bleeders. One was the most unscrupulous person I know to date next to mafia crime boss. In fact, guess who I discovered was his money backer? Yeap. That was the worst job of my life. My wife and I celebrated the day I was laid off. Long story. Nothing phased me after that experience.

There are bed cover options out there that would give you that ability, but it wasn't the market niche we were shooting for. Our cover is engineered to support up to 500 pounds of distributed weight when the truck is parked. So if you're parked outside in a snowstorm, no worries. However, a Peragon cover is not designed to support that much weight when bouncing down the road. Technically, I'm sure there is an amount of weight you could haul on our cover without a problem. Of course, you know how that would work - we'd rate it for 100 pounds and someone would put on 250. We just steer clear of that minefield and recommend no cargo on the cover when traveling.
