Now, there's an idea! How about a combination ping pong net and hammock? This could be our next big thing!

How much time between order and shipping?

Might be interested in the buy now credit back later option. :-)

Oh and how well does this work in snow and ice?

I already been scared away from other retractable covers because of all the reports of them stuck in winter.

I forgot to ask that as well. Snow and ice is a deal breaker for me. I live in canada and go snowboarding once a week.

Ok guys... I just placed my order and I'm asking for it to be shipped now. I'm certain this is the right cover for me. I really appreciate all the Q&A on this forum. I don't think I'm the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to trucks and cars so the enthusiasm shown by others as well as by Heath for his product give me a lot of confidence this is what I'm looking for.

I ran into some slight financial issues and wasn't able to order yet. I will be doing the buy now and refund later option as well. Should be adding another one to the list by the end of the week.

Right now (subject to change) a cover for the 5.5' bed would ship next Monday the 29th. The 6.5' bed is a bit faster. If you select your truck on our web site's Buy Now page, you can get a current ship date quote.

Our production facility is located in far northern Minnesota - Bemidji, MN to be exact - not far south of Canada! We live, work and play through some pretty harsh winters. From day one, operation in ice and snow conditions has influenced our design process and the Peragon cover does very well.

To be fair, winter can be a pain and there will be times (1/2" of freezing rain) when it will take some time to clean off our cover so you can open it. It doesn't need to be perfectly cleaned off, some light snow or a crust of ice left is fine.

The big advantage Peragon has over every other retractable bed cover is that we do not have a canister - no closed space where ice and snow can build up and prevent operation entirely. Once you sweep off our cover you will be able to open it.

Our guide rail system is robust extruded aluminum that has been designed so there are no water traps where ice could build up and keep the cover from operating.

All of our operating components are concealed so they will not freeze. The only thing that faces the elements is our key lock and it is protected by a high quality Southco rubber cap that is water/ice proof. There are some nice closeup photos of this area on our web site Key Locking section.
