Great info, thank you. We don't ship UPS, but we do ship FedEx and I believe their shipping and brokerage fees are very similar to each other. Our shipping price to Canada includes all brokerage fees - we prepay those. FedEx will only bill the recipient for HST or GST/PST.

I believe we looked into using USPS a while ago, but I don't recall why we didn't go that route and something may have changed since then. I've asked our team to research this option and I'll report back what they learn. It would be great if we could offer our Canadian customers a more cost effective shipping option!

I received the results back from the research on USPS to Canada. Due to the size and weight of our boxes, the only option USPS offers is Priority Mail, which is costly. Even considering the brokerage fees from FedEx (which are built into what we charge for shipping to Canada), USPS is about $40 higher than FedEx - comparing the total delivered cost. We do use USPS for parts orders to Canada and that works out really well, we've done that for a while. It just doesn't pencil out on the larger boxes.

Lube the locking mechanism, I had to spray mine with teflon spray to get it to move freely.

Nylon locking nuts are designed to be only turned on once, and only made to get some threads put through before they lose their locking capabilities. Some of the longer bolts you should use a deformed thread nut, or a nord-lock washer.

Also for the backside on they brackets instead of a small washer, you should make a flat plate for the washer to increase the surface area.

Also if you know for sure you are going to use at least 3 or 4 flat washers to raise the height, you should include a spacer, all the washers stacked up make it look a bit cheap.

After looking at the cover, and driving with it, I think I am going to spray expanding foam on the backside of the cover to stiffen it. This should also strengthen it enough that I can haul light items, like bikes and kayaks on it.

So far, nice cover.

Great! Good feedback - thank you. Hearing this type of information helps us continually refine what we do. I just emailed your notes to our design and support teams.

Hey, Heath, that's okay, I'll deliver it to them and only charge by the mile ... from my place, here in Texas. Of course I'll have to ask for my gas to be paid as well... and meals and hotels. But, I'll camp out if you'll pay my camping fees. And since I'll be gone for so long from my house I'd like my family to ride with me. And that would mean their meals and housing as well. Just give me the okay and send me the credit card. I'll be right up before you know it.

You forgot to add the fly-in Canadian fishing trip! For you going to all that trouble, it's the least we could do.

Oh, that's right. Forgot that part. I'd love to go fishing for flies. What's the bait look like for that?

Hey Guys,

I think I'm number 12. My truck was built on 8/18 and it sounds like I'll have a better chance of getting the cover before the truck. Looking forward to both...

Can I get an *AMEN* from the crowd..!!! Sounds Impressive..!!

Couldn't sleep tonite, so I popped into the Forum and look what I discovered..!! ...Read all about the Peragon Truck Bed Cover, and Here I Am....you can mark me down for #13..!! I'll be placing my order within the next day or so..

Since buying BigBlue 1 last August, I've been shopping and comparing box covers for my truck, and since replacing it with BigBlue 2 in the last month, I'm desperate to protect the bed and contents. This is exactly what I've been looking for, the price is right - even before any discount, and its also a small company and local to boot.. What a deal..!!

I'll even go one further...Since I'm up in Winnipeg, Canada, only a couple hours away from this factory, I'll take a day and drive down with the wife to pick mine up if they'll allow that, and install it in town somewhere while down there..!! It'll not only dress up my ride, but also show ease of installation - a Guy Thing.!! ...and impress them Border folks too..!!

Can't wait to show off my new Peragon Cover..!!

#13 is all yours!

We do have customers that pick their cover up from our facility and we will discount your order total by $40 if you do. However, since the transaction occurs in Minnesota we have to add 6.875% MN Sales Tax, which makes it almost a wash. Compared to shipping to Canada though, you might come out ahead and enjoy a nice drive in the process. One thing to be aware of in advance is that we have a secure facility and do not offer tours, but you'll be able to see where our facility is located and Bemidji is a great town to visit! Let me know if you're coming down and I can recommend some good places to eat.

Heath I like the (old?) website design better, those pictures really help.
But...you need pictures of some 09-11 F-150.
