Heath, send stickers. I was trying to figure out how to show the advertizement for that already. I was thinking about having magnets made to position it somewhere that enhances the look. Not sure. Just the kind of thing I've seen some on here do for other reasons. Always open to suggestions.

Just got mine today and installed it in about 2 hours including all the adjusting and moving around. Very pleased with it so far, but had a few small issues.

1. No screws were included to mount the rail end caps to the rails. I called the support line after hours and Rebecca called me back within about 20 minutes. VERY impressed by that. She told me exactly what type and size they were but unfortunately not carried in that size or in black at Home Depot or Lowe's. I left her a message to overnight a set of screws to me, so hopefully she takes care of that

2. I have a few questions about the operation and what mine currently does to see if I did my install 100% correct. It opens and closes relatively smoothly, but one of the "rollers" if you will that sits in the rail when fully extended, rubs on the strut/shock body when it is up against the cab so it doesn't seem to close 100% as it should, or as I think it should. I've adjusted the set screws for the support rails but can't get it not to do that. Everything else works great and it opens and closes just fine.

3. How snug is it supposed to fit against the tail gate? When I first installed it, the tail gate did not quite close so I made an adjustment and now it closes, but it's pretty darn tight against that back seal. I assume this is normal? In doing this, at the front of the bed, the rails probably hang off the front about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. It's still plenty of distance away from the cab itself, but just curious.

Also, for those with mounting bracket issues not being level, this may not be a solution for everyone, but it worked for me. I installed them and they were a bit high and not quite level, like some others have said. I simply bent the brackets a bit after seeing where they were going to sit and all seems to be just fine.

I will get some more pictures taken once I get those rail cap screws and do a review about it later on this week.

Thanks Peragon!

What kind of a problem will this create for me? Will the vertical section of the liner need to be cut in order to allow the rail cap to sit flat? Is it going to be a roadblock to installing a Peragon?

Mac,
why won't you trim the bed liner? That seems to be the best choice even if you didn't install a tonneau cover. If it were me, I'd trim... I'd remove the caps, and trim the top edge of the bed liner with a set of tin snips. Use something to protect the trucks paint though.

Edited to add: I'm not really sure what I'm looking at or if I understood your problem.

By the way, I really like the Adarac Truck Bed Rack System. It gives me some ideas of my own. And all this talk is giving me the itch to go outside right now in the dark and install my new cover....

fordtruckman2003 -

I just followed up on this to make sure they got you taken care of and you should have received an email reply earlier this evening. It sounds like they have run into this before where the plastic caps fit a bit differently on some trucks - which can cause the issue you're seeing with the brackets angling upward. Your idea to bend the brackets downward is a solution - I shouldn't have been so emphatic that wouldn't be necessary. That'll teach me! I'll consult the experts on our support team more regularly now when answering questions.

If you need anything else in the process, please let us know and we'll take care of whatever it is quickly for you.

If you need hardware your better off going to your local hardware store or an ace/tru value

I may actually get stainless hardware, cheap assurance.

Glad to hear your install went well and you're happy! We'll get the hiccups addressed ASAP.

1) We'll have those screws sent out tomorrow FedEx Overnight at our expense so you have them Friday. I apologize for the hassle. Our production team works hard to avoid these kind of mistakes, but when they happen it gives our support team the chance to shine. Thank you for your patience and great attitude in response!

2) It sounds like you've already tried the first thing I would suggest, which is adjusting those set screws so the ramps move toward the outside of the bed a bit more. Something else to check would be to make sure the "fat" end of the gas struts is attached to the cover and the "skinny" end is attached to the ramp. If you're able to email pictures to us, we will likely be able to troubleshoot this for you in pretty short order.

3) If the fit to the tailgate is too tight against the cover seal, adjusting the frame forward should be fine. However, learning from my past errors, I'm going to forward this one to our support team too so they can weigh in and respond to you via email.

Thanks Heath. I will await an email from them and will respond with pictures of how it is sitting now. I do have the struts installed correctly as you indicated with the body of the struts being attached to the cover and the exposed silver arms on the bracket end.

I guess maybe a better question would be is where at on those rails should the rollers sit when they roll up to go into the rail? That would help big time in getting it positioned correctly.

Good point about trimming the bed liner Jack. From what I read on this forum, attempting to remove the bed rail caps could create a whole new set of issues. It appears as though it's easy to break the clips when removing the caps.

I'll try flattening the rail cap by cutting into the side of the bed liner, hoping that will do the trick. Otherwise, If I go with the Peragon, I'm hoping that the screw for the hole I drill for the Peragon brackets will hold it down. Does anyone think the bracket screw will accomplish this????

The bolt is long enough it can *probably* go through both the bedliner and the rail.
Not making any promises there hard to tell in pics how much thickness you have there.
Personally I say it still best to trim down the bedliner if possible.
You can always get longer bolts at a hardware store if that isn't an option.

You will have to bend the brackets to make them fit your distorted rails.
I had to bend them to fit my stock rails, apparently some others did not.

I still trying to get my cover to operate as smooth as these.
