Hello Heath Copp,
I just purchased my 2017 F150 Supercrew shortbed and interested in buying a bed cover. Could you please PM me your member bonus offer? Thanks!

I'm a noob here and joined for two reasons: One, to thank all these fine folks for making my decision to buy Ford an easy one; Two, to ask a couple questions regarding your product(which, again, reading here has convinced me is the right choice for my needs).

I'm a golfer, and as any golfer knows, a bag of clubs ain't cheap! My better 7/8ths has decided she doesn't like the dirt associated with clubs, bag, pullcart, spikes, etc in the cab area of my new S'crew. Therefore, a cover is in order, and I'm sold on the Peragon, but security is a premium. Can you please discuss the difference between the single and double lock options? Also, is either more of a problem with a drop-in liner? Mine fits pretty snug I think, but it isn't skin tight for sure. Last, the opinions seem to be that the clamp option is as secure as the drilled option. What say you?

I'm already sold on the basic product... sell me on the extras that I might need to enhance security. Also, the icing on the cake... please PM me the forum discount pricing.

Cheers,
RR
Hello RR!

The members on this forum have been a pleasure to interact with over the years. So it's an honor to be part of the community!

I'm glad to hear you've settled on a Peragon cover!

Our Dual Deadbolt System still has a single key lock (for convenience), but adds a second deadbolt to the mechanism that runs to the passenger side of the cover. Our standard single deadbolt is still quite secure and would take some effort to break into, but the Dual Deadbolt System adds an extra layer of security for those golf clubs. Either locking mechanism is tucked under the cover and won't be affected by your drop-in liner.

Yes, our new Quick Clamp option is just as secure as the standard drill-on mounting. I've had clamps on my personal truck for about two years now that we've been testing and I'm quite happy with how stable they've proven to be.

The PM is on the way!

- Heath

Peragon cover ordered!!!

Super excited!

Stayed with basic black to match my all white and black S'crew. Gettin' the dual lock to protect the sticks and the clamps to protect the... ummm... aluminum, I guess?

Thanks for the PM's and for stayin' up late, Heath.

I think I read somewhere that the color match option (xtra $400) is a satin finish. Are all the color match options a satin finish? I have a blue jeans 2016 and am just wondering how the satin finish would look against the gloss/clear coat of the truck paint. Anyone have pictures of a blue jean truck with the color match (or a blue jean with just a black cover....or red....or...???)

Seems like a great cover! and I'm excited to get one! Just trying to decide if I want to do the color match.

I'm interested in the clamp on if you could message me the forum offer. I have a few questions, too.

1. It looks like the cover rails are on the inside of the bed. How much of the bed width do you loose at the top?

2. Does this lock open or just closed? Will it lock partially open?

3. How does it lock open and closed?

Thanks!

I'm glad to hear you've settled on a Peragon cover! Our Paint Match option is a gloss finish, just like your F-150 factory paint. We use a full automotive paint system with base coat and high gloss clear coat.

If you click the "Photos" link on our website, then click the "Ford" icon you can see many different truck and cover color combinations that might help you choose. You can't go wrong either way!

A PM is on the way with details on our forum member bonus offer! To answer your questions...

1) Our rails are on the inside of the bed and use about 3" on each side. They don't affect the usable width of your bed much because they are still outside of the wheel wells.

2) In terms of a key lock, our cover only locks in the closed position. When open, our pull strap does double duty to hold the folded panels during travel. We don't have partially open positions, just fully open or fully closed.

3) Our key lock is on the driver side of the cover, near the cab. When you key lock the cover, it is secured by one or two deadbolts (with our Dual Deadbolt option) into our extruded aluminum guide rails. It would take a fairly determined thief to break in. In our videos, you can see the key lock in action in a few different shots.

Thank you for considering a Peragon truck bed cover!

I have been looking to upgrade my tonneau cover for awhile now, and the peregon had caught my attention, but I wasn't interested in drilling holes. The new clamp option sounds great. I have read nothing but great things about the customer service this company provides, this is a huge thing for me when ordering things for my truck. i have one question though.

I live in New England, and was wondering how well the cover holds up to snow and ice?

is the forum member offer still available?

Thank you,
Chris
