Default My 5100 Bilstein Build 2016 FX4

Maybe not worth it's own thread but wanted to share my experience.I have been debating for the longest........well it seems like the longest as to where I was going to set my shocks. Either 1.26 or 1.75 . I was debating due to I tow a boat and didn't want to sit nose high when towing and also thought 1.75would expose too much fenderwell. Well I went with the 1.75 setting I could not be happier with the ride and the look of my truck. The truck rides so much better without all that bouncy BS going on and to me has the perfect amount of rake. Getting 275/60/20 KO2's installed today and will post up pics.

I've got a 2016 FX4 with heavy duty tow package. I am considering the Bilstein 5100 because when I tow a 6000 lb travel trailer the ride is to soft for my taste. I am concerned if I get the Bilsteins the unloaded ride will be harsh plus I would not know where to set the front shocks to maintain the same rake as OEM.

I wouldn't worry about a harsh ride as it's totally better with the 5100's. You can set them st stock ,.75, 1.26,1.15 or 2.1. Mine are 1.17 and I love the stance.
