The new AIRAID Modular Intake Tube features a bifurcated design to feed the EcoBoost’s twin turbos with an unrestricted supply of clean air. As a stand-alone upgrade, the MIT tube connects to the factory intake box and turbo inlets to optimizes airflow and improve part-throttle response. The AIRAID Jr. system combines the M.I.T. tube with a premium AIRAID drop-in replacement filter for the factory intake box to further improve airflow. The drop-in filter is available with traditional oiled filter media as well as SynthMax dry filter media, both of which are washable and reusable and further improve airflow to the engine.
For those seeking even more performance, Airaid offers a full Cold Air Dam Intake System that is available with or without the new bifurcated intake tube. The Cold Air Dam panels replace the upper half of the factory intake box, while blade-style weatherstripping seals against the hood to keep hot engine compartment air away from the new open-element filter. The new filter is massive and designed to maximize filter surface area and to supply the engine with an unrestricted supply of cool outside air. Like the drop-in filters, these open-element filters are available with traditional oiled filter media.
