Good thread. I'm debating on whether I should put a level kit on mine or not. Mine only sees occasional (like 2-3 times a year) off roading, where it 'would be nice' to have the extra clearance. Otherwise, its mainly seeing the road. The only reason I'm getting slightly more agressive tires is for the snow storms we get around here.

Default Another noob question..

Does it make sense to level if you occasionally to light to medium towing? In other words, isn't the factory rake a good thing when the back is loaded?

If you want to level and occasionally tow you could always put some air bags under the back end for more support. But for me, I don't tow often enough to persuade me not to level. It's really all a personal opinion though.

2" level will give you enough to look level but still have a slight rake to it, so if you're only towing a boat you'll look perfectly level. that's why I did 2"

I have a 2.5" HBS level on my truck and sometimes when i turn slowly or go over a small bump that makes my truck rock side to side slightly it sounds like something is knocking. Could that be due to the rubbing on the upper control arm?

definitely could be. have you looked at any of your coils recently just to see what kind of wear they're showing?

I just looked at them and on both coils on the side that faces the tire there is a spot where there is some wear tha definately looks like something is rubbing on it at times. Also on the other side of the coils there are a few parts that show a little bit of rubbing.

rubbing is fine, just make sure the structural integrity of the coil still looks good

well the part that looks to be rubbing on the side of the wheel is through the covering of the coil and i can see and feel the metal or what the coil is made of. There is a circle around the size of a dime right now. should i be worried about it?

Edit: Ill see if i can take a picture that will show what i am talking about.
Here are some pictures...
