so an off topic question, but the truck i'm picking up is an 04 with 85k miles on it. if i want to replace the shocks all around, what should i put on the back?

Look at belltech street performance kit it's a 2-3/4 with high end performance shocks . It runs about 640 for everything

When it comes to rubbing... a 2" lift is a 2" lift... doesnt matter what make, model or color... if it is going to rub it will rub no matter the brand. Better ones may ride smoother but do not change the rubbing.

The one thing I posted near the front of this thread that a lot of people do not understand is this. If a tire will rub with the stock suspension it "can still " rub with a level kit unless you change out the UCAs. Look at the raptor... those are not the same UCAs we have on our f150s.

The only thing a level kit does is keep the tire from rubbing under daily driving conditions. If it flexs it "CAN" still rub because all a level kit does is change the resting position on the suspension. Everything else is still the same. Been there, done that too many times.

hi i have a 2005 f150 fx4 4x4 i bought a 2.5" leveling lift for it haven't put it on yet looking at trading the truck in on a 2009 f150 fx4 4x4 will the leveling block work on the new 2009 truck

I had 4wheelparts in Houston tell me that to do a 2'' front end level on my 2012 f150, it would be about $580...?

I've seen the parts that go into the leveling kit, and it doesn't come near that. Probably even with labor cost too. Does anyone else think this is ridiculous?

And yes...I would love to do it myself, but I am afraid to do so in fear of messing something up. Does anyone else have this issue/and or done it themselves without any previous experience doing something like this?

if you have a local shop that does suspension they would probably install it for cheaper. I ordered my kit and asked around for labor quotes. Total I spend like 260 or something like that.

Anyone have any experience with the bilstein 5100 leveling struts on a 2wd? And what size tire are you running?

Question for anyone who has installed 5100 on there truck. Does the factory lower spring seat just press onto the factory shock? I was told by a Ford Tech that it was welded and does not look like it to me. I did not want to install these myself but it looks like I might have to if Ford does not have anyone who knows what they are doing.

On the 2010 models there were some people who were reporting this issue but the mechanics seemed to have no issue with it at the time, and since then everyone else that I've seen has had clean installs. So, I would venture a guess and say they're not welded
