Default Rough country or BDS??

Anyone have any input on these two brands for a 6" lift on a 09f150 4wd? I also don't know what size tires and wheels will work with the lift. The guys at my ford dealer says they'd install a 20" w some all terrains but i think that would probably be a rough ride. I was thinking about using 17" or 18" wheels so I can get a taller sidewall on my tire. But I don't know what size tires to use or if a 17" or 18" wheel will fit on my truck over the caliper.

Any input or suggestions would be great
Anyone have a similar setup that you could post some pics?

BDS hands down. Quality and can take a beating + lifetime warranty. Rough country is cheaper I have the 6" BDS and love the ride. I have had 2 Rough Country lifts both the 4" and the 6" and can't take the abuse that a BDS lift can. If you are after just looks and do not do any major off-roading then the RC will work.

6" RC will fit 35's.
6" BDS will fit 35's easily supposed to fit 37's but will have to trim or remove the front valance.

My 02. Hope it helps.

That's all I've been hearing about is BDS.
The reason I asked about the two is because BDS is what I want to go with but more ford dealer offers a 3 year extended warranty on rough country if installed by them.
Now i don't know what to do. I really want BDS but I guess ill just have to wait till my warranty expires or something. I'll look into it some more. Thanks

I have the Rough Country 5" lift, not to bad to install and the ride sucks unless you chuck their shocks and get some decent ones. Right now I have the RC 5" with 4" blocks, skyjacker AAL, and summit racing torsion keys. With all that I am running bilstein shocks. I have yet to have an issue off roading, the only pain is that RC recommends re torquing all lift bolts/nuts every 3k miles, and trust me...you want to! Ive come across probably 4 loose bolts.(all on the front diff drop bracket). All in all the lift is worth $1000.

Bds hands down. They can fit 37's on an 18 inch wheel that has the proper backspacing with no trimming required I beleive.
