if there 9140's or 9145's a 9005 will work and is a higher wattage.

I've got the SilverStars 9145's in my round foglights and I picked them up at Autozone. I read in another post on here that you should not run 9005 bulbs in the round housing foglights because the excessive heat build-up will distort the lense.

Bad idea, you will replace the lamp from it falling apart from the heat.

Called a few autozones around here and so far none of them carry the fogs. What's even more funny 1 will say it a part # 9140 and another will give me a 9145. WTF
Can anyone here with a 07 2wd F150 SCREW that can post a part # for me ?
Thanks
Carl

Being impatient, I called Sylvania and spoke to the rep there. She said they do not make a silverstar fog yet for my syle truck , but did give me the run down on the wattages. The 9140 replacement bulb for my fogs ( which they don't make yet) are a 40 watt bulb, 9145 is 45 watt bulb and 9005 is a 65 watt bulb. She mentioned off the record ,that going to the 9145 should'nt cause the housing to melt, as it's only 5 watts more.
Do you guys think it'll be alright to jump up 5 watts and have no problems? Anyone here done this? Thanks again
