IMO listen to some magnaflow clips or some longer glasspacks if you are looking for low drone and good sound. I have true dual 18" glasspacks with a x-pipe and its perfect for me. barks nice when you get after it, but highway cruising with radio on normal low volume, cant even hear them. nice deep rumble tone also.

and most intake systems are good. just pick a dryflow filter tho, oil is bad for the MAF when it leaks though. Ford even had a TSB out about not using oiled filters back when they started getting more popular. I have the AEM dryflow and it works great.
i never knew that about the air filters (which doesnt surprise me.... there's lots i dont know

thanks for the tip

So i went to the stealership for my first oil change. I asked about warranty vs adding after market cia/exhausts ect.... they said that i would have to remove and install the stock items before bringing it in... i guess i have to wait for my 60,000 km to pass before i upgrade...

each dealer has there own ideas on this..its best to call the warranty 800 number...for me when i went to my dealer...they said for an exhaust it will only void the warranty on the parts i change so the muffler n pipes...for cai it wont void any warranty as long as i dont put a tune in it...so i have to call the 800 warranty to see what they say as its them that count lol not the dealer....

how do you like your airaid cai??? did you get the gains that they advertise?
Hard to tell where the gains have come from. I held onto the exhaust system until the CAI came in and then I put them on the truck on the same day. I can certainly feel the difference when I step on the pedal. I wouldn't say it's any quicker off the line, but the difference from 30-80mph is very noticeable. This truck is finally breathing as it should.

Regarding the rust issue: If you want the best corrosion resistance, I would go with an exhaust made with T-304 steel. The rest of your truck will probably fall apart before that exhaust started to have corrosion issues. Disregard the manufacturer because they all use the same sources for the base materials. Sounds like your stealership is towing the party line regarding aftermarket parts. Call the 800 number to see if an exhaust is going to void your warranty repairs. Would be interesting to see how Canadian law handles the issue of warranty vs. aftermarket parts.
