I just installed the Gibson metal mulisha exhaust on my 13 ecoboost and I am in love. Personally I think it is the best sounding ecoboost exhaust.

oops, I forgot about this thread.

I got the MBRP kit and installed it with no trouble. Took approx. 2 hours without lifting or jacking the truck. Just crawl under and get it done.

Very happy with the sound, not raspy or 'poppy'. Just a nice deep rumble.

Has anyone tried the Gibson deegan 38 exhaust on an ecoboost yet? I have a 16 2.7 and have been looking at ordering the the deegan 38 dual kit. I can't find much info on them other than for the 5.0 tho.

I just put a 14" Magnaflow on my 14' 5.0L. I made a new "resonator-back" system that dumps before the rear axle. It's pretty much an off-road style system. Sounds good, not too loud, and the resonator keeps the drone down. Here's a video, I hope it's helpful.

I drove my truck for a week and decided to take the resonator off. Muffler plus resonator just wasn't enough of a noticeable difference for me. Right now it is pretty much perfect. The muffler with resonator would be good for a family SUV, but not for a truck. If you want to use a 14" Magnaflow, definitely get rid of the resonator. The interior sound isn't bad and neither is the drone.

I am also curious about adding exhaust to the ecoboost. I have a 17' 2.7L and wonder how they sound compared to the 5.0's.

Youtube...

IMHO (keep in mind I have a 5.0L) the EBs sound ok at idle, maybe even good. But once you get into the throttle they start to get that import ricer sound. Anything over 1500ish RPM and it's just not for me. YMMV

Which one did you get? XP/PRO? How is the sound? Is it real aggressive like the Flowmaster American Thunder?

I went with the XP as it was only $400 and we don't see any road salt here in Arkansas. I'd probably recommend the 304 stainless for you northern folks.

As far as comparing to the Flowmaster, I can't really say as I haven't heard it in person. But I will say the MBRP sounds pretty much exactly as the YT videos.

This video and the others by the drkhorse user are pretty good for getting an idea of the sound.
