Performance gains will vary dependent upon your application. The more power the vehicle makes, the bigger the gains will be. Generally in full size vehicle applications, a 5-7% gain of power is fairly typical, while improvements of 1-2 mpg can be achieved.

I have a 2006 5.4 and I ordered the American Thunder 40 series for my truck from 4wheelparts. My 10 year old son and I did the removal of the old stock junk and installed the single in/dual out system in an afternoon. It was simple enough and the sound after the first startup made us both smile!

i love the system and am very happy I made the purchase. My only cons are that the pipes did not align up evenly. Meaning my right pipe is closer to the center of the truck and my left pipe is closer to the outboard of the truck. I'm going to go to an exhaust shop one of these days to have it fixed. My other, minor, complaint is that I would like bigger tips than what came with the system.

I am very pleased with the system overall and would strongly recommend it.

Glad to hear that you are happy with your Flowmaster system! We guarantee the fitment of all of our systems and kits. If you are a little off upstream it will end up making a huge difference at the tailpipe. Try loosening up your system and readjusting it. The install instructions should be pretty helpful and are available on the Flowmaster website if you already tossed them. If you would like one of our techs to walk you through the process, give us a call at 707-544-4761.

Got a 2014 screw 5.0. Running stainless works long tube headers with high flow cats to a Y pipe connected to flowmaster a force II CATBACK. I enjoyed the force IIcatback before the header install. Now it just sounds crappy. Looking to change the catback. Maybe keep 3" all the way back with sw catback or maybe borla.

2014 5.0 lariat crew cab
I went with the roush exhaust kit on my truck, sounds great and felt like it made a difference.

I specifically wanted a catback with dual exhausts that exit in front of the rear tire.

Stainless

Magnaflow fit the bill perfectly.

  • Exit Location Dual Same Side Before Passenger Rear Tire
  • Exit Quantity Dual
  • Tip Type Double Wall
  • Tip Diameter 3.5 IN
  • Tip Length 9.5
  • Tip Material Stainless
So now the exhaust system runs w/Livernois down pipes from the Turbo's to the cat w/Magnaflow catback Dual Exhuast.

Oh Baby.....

Can't remember if I posted here or not, but I'm running the Borla ATAK system and love it. Sounds very mean. Cold starts are insane, as is WOT. No complaints at all! Only time I ever get drone is at around 75+ when passing someone. I stick to cruise control on 65 so I don't have that issue. Not like my destination is going to move on me, no need to rush

Install was very easy, a second set of hands would be helpful when removing the factory exhaust, but it's possible to do it by yourself. Just a bit awkward and takes some wiggling.

If I could change one thing, I would rather have dual 45's angled downward a bit. Love that look. Not a huge fan of straight out the back, but it wasn't a deal breaker with this kit. The sound DEFINITELY makes up for it!

Oh Baby.....

Quality of this Catback is top shelf. Sound for me is as close to perfect as you're going to get with a Turbo'd 6 banger. Very very happy.

Thought I'd post a few pictures. Opinions?
