QR,
So as I should have expected with the long tubes & Maga combo, you can really tell a difference when you're on the throttle vs. coasting.
At idle or low RPMs along flat roads or on downhill (not under load) the setup is not much if all louder than stock. But soon as some fuel goes to the cylinders she speaks up and is noticeably louder than stock.
Since I wanted to be legal in case I move to CA (possibility in next 3-5yrs) I had the shop add CATs. Turns out that the headers go back into the expanded area that Ford provides for the factory CATs so that's a no-go. He put a single large CAT after the Y which should be fine. To accommodate the O2's he installed one O2 sensor and ran both sets of wire to that one. Seemed fine, no codes, but after I took the truck out & got it warmed up at highway speed I got the checkengine light. So next step is to install the 4th O2 behind the same CAT and see of that makes the ECM happy. Bit of trial & error there.
I have not gotten a tuner, but think I"ll eventually go with the EDGE or gryphon. Perhaps someone here can help me with why the extra cash for the gryphon is better?
Then maybe some day I'll get a Cold Air Intake for it, but that probably won't be for a long time.
I do think my power band shifted to slightly higher RPMs, hoping that & the added noise don't make me regret my setup when it comes to towing. We shall see.

OBX LT and Banks Monster
I installed the headers which came with the resonators for now just to get the exhaust on my truck. Love the Banks kit with the polished muffler and huge tip and that the complete exhaust is stainless steel. Researched this exhaust for four months before I bought and I now think I can compete for the title of Drone King while driving down the highway. Just ordered Magnaflow cats hoping that it kills the drone. The idle sound is awesome and when I punch it, it sounds like a whole different monster.

Inspired by the new Atlas concept truck and some classic Camaro tips, I just build some square exhaust tips under rear bumber. Also removed 2 mufflers and placed one single new Simons sport muffler. (sounds like a beast!)
I painted the exhaust tips, just like grill and wheels, also in metallic sterling grey...

Have a brand new 2014 XLT 4X4 with 5.0 V8. FlowMaster 400 series with no resonator.
I am 63 years young and still like the growl of a V8. Wife does not like it at all ! The added benefit to the exhaust is that is ticks off the HOA I live in.
